Alexander Bell rushed to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) on Valentine’s Day in 1896 to file his patent application for the telephone. Think of how many relationships were able to stay connected by being able to speak to each other even when separated by long distances. Mr. Bell may have never fully understood his contribution to modern love.
